POSITION SUMMARY

As a R&D Process Integration Engineer, you will work in a dynamic team environment at AOS Semiconductor's leading technology fabrication facility (Jireh Semiconductor) located in Hillsboro, Oregon. This focus of this position is to work with device/process module/product engineering group to define, develop and implement silicon power device process technology. Primary responsibilities are to design rule definition, process architecture, process flow implementation, process module development, electrical characterization, and technology qualification for new silicon technology developments.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Focus on HV power device (MOSFET, IGBT, etc.) technologies development in Jireh Semiconductor Fab
  • Perform process simulation, Create technology process flows with process specifications
  • Process module development and characterization
  • Define test structures for process integration and process module development.
  • Design statistical experiments and analyze results to optimize device architecture and/or process modules.
  • define process design rule, perform device characterization and report on the results
  • Collaborate with design groups within the company to troubleshoot device related problem, provide documentation and expertise to maximize the efficient use of process technologies
  • Develop devices that ensure the highest level of reliability for products. Work with the Product Engineering and Reliability group to test, characterize and evaluate device and process
  • Collaborate with production integration team to perform NPI (New Product Introduction) on existing platform, maintain process design rules, address production yield and performance issues through inline data analysis, provide solution for low yield through process condition splits design

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

Regularly required to sit or stand and move about the facility. Exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes and odors.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Masters/PhD in Electrical Engineering or related engineering degree
  • 5+ years of experience in a development role that includes power device development
  • Working knowledge in semiconductor process technology and wafer fabrication.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • The ideal candidate will have knowledge of semiconductor device physics and experience with device processing and integration, test structure definition, design rule generation, DOE, failure analysis, process control document (PCD) generation, and device characterization.
  • Experience with high-voltage discrete power devices is preferred
